You were created to have a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. You don’t have to to go through life struggling on your own. God wants to come to your rescue. It’s as simple as recognizing that you are a sinner and need a Savior! God loves you so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for you.
1. REALIZE that you are a sinner
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
2. BELIEVE that Jesus died for you
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”(John 3:16)
3. REPENT of your sin
Sin separates us from God, but Salvation is a free gift of God’s Grace! Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins past, present and future. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
4. RECEIVE Jesus into your heart and life
If you don’t remember a time when you prayed and asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, you can pray a prayer today from your heart to God’s heart. You don’t need fancy words. God’s Word says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
God doesn’t force us to love Him. If He did, it wouldn’t be real love. He gives us a choice. God longs to have a personal intimate love relationship with you. He wants to be your Healer, Deliverer, Provider, and your Best Friend. Once you pray and receive Jesus into your heart and life, His Spirit lives in you and fills you with His power and strength.
This life is not all there is. One day, we will live in heaven for all eternity with our Lord and Savior where there is no more pain and no more tears. I can’t wait! But I want you to know for sure that you will be in heaven too!
Today, you can pray this prayer and become a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ…
Dear God,
I know I’m not perfect. I need you to forgive me for my sins and save me.
I believe you sent Your Son Jesus to earth to die for me. I want His pain to count for me.
I believe that you raised Jesus from the dead. I believe that you have power over death.
Come into my heart and give me new life. I want to live forever with you in Heaven.
And until You take me home to heaven, I want You to be my friend on earth.
Help me to follow You in everything I say and do.
Thank you for saving me!
